Our latest charity challenge: The Three Peaks!

Every year we set ourselves a challenge in an effort to raise much needed funds for great local charities, and this year, we are teaming up with Hampshire based Mozzo Coffee and Tilford based 1st Call Tree Surgeons for our toughest challenge yet!

In July, a strong team of our not-so-seasoned climbers will take on the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. On day 1 we will tackle Ben Nevis in Scotland, the highest of the 3 peaks at 1345m, before climbing Scafell Pike in England (978m) and Snowden in Wales (1085m), on day 2.

This is no mean feat; the gruelling schedule won’t allow for much sleep or rest between the climbs, but we are excited to take on the challenge in support of these two fantastic local charities; Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

Rainbow Trust is an incredible charity that offers bespoke support to struggling families of a child with a life-threatening illness. They bring help to families who so desperately need it at home, in hospital and in the community, and they need our support!

Available both day and night, all year round, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance do amazing work for the community, bringing an advanced critical care team to people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight when they need it most.

To show your support for the great work these two amazing charities do each and every day, Visit our Virgin Money Giving Page and help us hit our £10,000 target!

How we’re raising money…

March

Throughout March we donated 50p from every pie sold at all of our pubs to the 3 Peaks fundraising pot, raising nearly £1,000 towards our target. So, a big thank you to all those pie lovers out there who did their bit to help!

April

This month we teamed up with the wonderful Hogs Back Brewery to craft a ‘3 Peaks Ale’! You can get your hands on a pint throughout the whole of April at all Red Mist pubs, with 20p from every pint sold going towards our fundraising target.

May

A great burger is a staple of any proper British pub so throughout May we will be donating 25p of every burger sold across the business (that’s a lot of burgers!) to the growing pot, so tuck in and feel good about it!

Not to be left out, our Red Mist head office team will be holding a coffee and bacon morning on Coxbridge Business Park selling bacon butties and lovely Hampshire roasted Mozzo Coffee to their neighbours, all for this great cause.

June

On Sunday 10th June, The Duke of Cambridge is hosting a charity Fit-Jam; a family-friendly event in partnership with B-Fit and Surrey Dance Fitness. Find out more on the Eventbrite ticket page here.

July

After months of training and lots of personal fundraising, July is the month when the team and support crew will be tackling the main event. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on our social media pages (don’t worry, we won’t show the blisters)!

Every donation counts, however big or small, and will help Rainbow Trust and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance continue their great work, as well as spur us on when our legs turn to jelly on the descent of Scafell Pike!

Thank you for each and every donation; your support is greatly appreciated and we’ll be sure to keep you up to date with our training and of course, our progress on the challenge itself.
